Weekly U.S. Influenza Surveillance Report

​​​The CDC Influenza Division collects, compiles, and analyzes information on Influenza activity year-round in the US and produces FluView, a weekly influenza surveillance report. During week 14, ending April 8, influenza activity decreased in the United States, however widespread influenza activity was still reported by New York and South Carolina.

2017-2018 Seasonal Flu Vaccine Virus Recommendations

The composition of U.S. flu vaccines is reviewed annually and updated to match circulating flu viruses. Flu vaccines protect against the three or four viruses that research suggests will be most common. Vaccines for the 2017-2018 flu season have already been recommended.
