MMWR Morb Mortal Wkly Rep 2016;65(Early Release):1-7 Although there has been considerable progress in preventing some health care–associated infections (HAIs), many remaining infections could be prevented with implementation of existing recommended practices. For this Vital Signs report, CDC assessed HAIs, including Clostridium difficile infections, and the role of six antibiotic-resistant bacteria of highest concern nationwide in various types of health care facilities. |
