You are subscribed to National Infant Immunization Week (NIIW) Activities for Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). CDC has launched its Born with Protection campaign to raise awareness of the third trimester whooping cough vaccine recommendation among pregnant women and prenatal healthcare professionals. By getting vaccinated in the third trimester of each pregnancy, mothers can pass antibodies to their babies to help protect them during their first few months of life when they are most vulnerable to the disease and complications. For more information on the recommendation for whooping cough vaccine during pregnancy, visit the CDC’s Pregnancy and Whooping Cough page. Materials are available for pregnant women, healthcare professionals, and Spanish speakers.
