Weekly Influenza Surveillance Influenza activity is low in the United States, but is expected to increase in the coming weeks. Yearly vaccination is the first and most important step in protecting against flu. Flu vaccination can reduce flu illnesses, doctors' visits, missed work due to flu, as well as prevent flu-related hospitalizations and deaths. If you have not gotten your flu vaccine yet this season, you should get one now. What you need to know for the 2013-2014 Season What is quadrivalent flu vaccine?
