The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) continues to report that doxycycline is available in limited supply and tetracycline is unavailable. Doxycycline and/or Tetracycline are recommended therapy for some sexually transmitted infections and syndromes including chlamydia, nongonococcal urethritis, epididymitis and pelvic inflammatory disease.
