You are subscribed to CDC's Vaccine Information Statements (VIS) email subscription service. The Japanese encephalitis vaccine information statement has recently been updated and is now available.
This update reflects the fact that Ixiaro is now the only JE vaccine available. It briefly mentions the possible need for boosters and the fact that there may be vaccination options for children under 17, for whom Ixiaro is not licensed. See the "Note to Providers" link on the VIS homepage just under the JE VIS download for more information on these issues.
Because there are no substantive changes (e.g., in contraindications or adverse events), stocks of the previous Ixiaro VIS may still be used.
