National Latino AIDS Awareness Day
October 15th is National Latino AIDS Awareness Day (NLAAD). National Latino AIDS Awareness Day provides communities with an opportunity to encourage HIV prevention, testing and treatment. This year's theme "Save A Life; It May Be Your Own" urges Hispanics/Latinos to get tested for HIV.

Salmonella from Dry Pet Food and Treats
Dry pet food and treats often contain germs, such as Salmonella. It is important to know how to properly handle, store, and behave when handling dry pet foods and treats to minimize the risk of becoming ill.

Women with Disabilities and Breast Cancer
Women with disabilities are also at risk of breast cancer. If you are between 40–49, talk with your doctor about getting a mammogram. If you're 50 or older, get a mammogram every 2 years.

World Arthritis Day
World Arthritis Day was October 12, 2010. New Data Show an Estimated 50 Million Americans have Arthritis. The prevalence of arthritis is on the rise. Obesity appears to be a contributing factor. Weight loss can decrease your risk.
