This report presents national estimates of contraceptive use and method choice based on the 1982, 1995, 2002, and 2006–2008 National Surveys of Family Growth (NSFG). Contraceptive use is a major factor affecting birth and pregnancy rates as well as the rate of unintended pregnancy.

FDA Licensure of Bivalent Human Papillomavirus Vaccine (HPV2, Cervarix) for Use in Females and Updated HPV Vaccination Recommendations from the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP)
In anticipation of FDA licensure of HPV2, ACIP reviewed data on the immunogenicity, efficacy, and safety of HPV2, as well as information on HPV4. At its October 21, 2009, meeting, ACIP approved updated recommendations for use of HPV vaccines in females.
Eye-Care Utilization Among Women Aged ≥40 Years with Eye Diseases - 19 States, 2006—2008
This report summarizes the results of an analysis, which indicated that 21% of women with self-reported DR, 12% of women with self-reported glaucoma, and 8% of women with self-reported age-related macular degeneration did not visit an eye-care provider in the recommended follow-up period.
