Text4baby is a mobile information service that provides free text messages to pregnant women and new moms to help keep them safe and healthy. The messages address a variety of topics, including immunizations, nutrition, flu, mental health, oral health, and more. Text4baby is an educational program of the National Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition. CDC is one of many outreach partners for this new program. Learn how you can become a partner.

Cervical Cancer: The Preventable Gynecologic Cancer
Most cases of cervical cancer are easily preventable with regular screening tests and follow-up. It also is highly curable when found and treated early. Now vaccines are available to protect against the most common cause of cervical cancer.

Chlamydia Profiles, 2008
Each of the Regional Profiles, one for each of the ten HHS regions, contains a map of the region and a bar graph showing trends in chlamydia positivity rates among women 15 to 24 years of age attending family planning clinics. Information on the proportion of all chlamydia tests performed that were nucleic acid amplification tests is included.

CDC's Injury Center Director Position Announcement
CDC is requesting applications for the position of Director, National Center for Injury Prevention and Control (NCIPC). The position will be open until March 8, 2010. The NCIPC Director sets and achieves the strategic, scientific, and programmatic goals of the Center to reduce injuries and violence and their consequences. The NCIPC Director will do this with a strong focus on identifying and making available interventions, typically for use at the state or local level that will reduce unintentional injuries and violence.

National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion Conference Support Program [CDC-RFA-DP10-1005]
CDC announce the pending availability of appropriated fiscal year (FY) 2010 funds for National Center for the Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion Conference Support Program. This program addresses the “Healthy People 2010” focus areas of Arthritis, Osteoporosis, and Chronic Back Conditions; Cancer; Diabetes; Educational and Community-Based Programs; Heart Disease and Stroke; Nutrition and Overweight; Physical Activity and Fitness; Respiratory Diseases; and Tobacco Use. The purpose of conference support funding is to provide partial support for specific non-Federal conferences in the areas of health promotion and disease prevention information and education programs, and applied research. Closing date: Apr 02, 2010.
