Interim Results: Influenza A (H1N1) 2009 Monovalent Vaccination Coverage
United States, October–December 2009
Persons in initial target groups and those in a limited vaccine subset of those groups were originally given priority for receipt of influenza A (H1N1) 2009 monovalent vaccine while the supply was limited. A CDC assessment of 2009 H1N1 vaccination coverage indicates that 20.3% of the U.S. population had been vaccinated, including 27.9% of persons in the initial target groups
and 37.5% in the limited vaccine subset. With an ample supply of vaccine now available, the recommendation for vaccination has been
expanded to the rest of the population.
