Swine-Origin Influenza A (H1N1) Virus Infections in a School
New York City, April 2009
As of April 28, approximately half (45) of all reported U.S. cases of swine-origin influenza A (H1N1) virus infection had been confirmed
among students and staff members at a New York City high school. This report describes the outbreak investigation by the NYC Department of Health
and Mental Hygiene and provides preliminary demographic and clinical characteristics regarding
44 of the 45 patients.
