Diabetes Program ~ Learn about "Power to Prevent: A Family Lifestyle Approach to Diabetes", a program that helps African Americans learn how to prevent or delay type 2 diabetes through physical activity and making healthy food choices.

Salmonella ~ CDC is collaborating with public health officials in many states and the US Food and Drug Administration to investigate a multistate outbreak of human infections due to Salmonella serotype Typhimurium. Information is provided for consumers and healthcare professionals.

Knee Replacement ~ The number of total knee replacements in the United States increased between 2000 and 2006, but without any reduction in the black/white disparity. The rate of this important intervention to reduce pain and disability continues to lag for blacks compared to whites.

Cancer Research ~ CDC conducts studies and supports public health research designed to help the cancer community better understand the factors that increase cancer risk and find new ways to prevent cancer.
