The U.S. Vaccine Abbreviations table is a standardized list of vaccine abbreviations, which was developed jointly by staff of the CDC, ACIP Workgroups, the editor of MMWR, the editor of Epidemiology and Prevention of Vaccine-Preventable Diseases (the "Pink Book"), ACIP members, and liaison organizations to the ACIP. It is intended to provide a uniform approach to vaccine references used in ACIP Recommendations and Notices to Readers that are published in the MMWR, the Pink Book, the American Academy of Pediatrics Red Book, and other publications.
