You
are invited to submit an abstract for presentation at the Fourth National Occupational Injury
Research Symposium (NOIRS) cosponsored by NIOSH,
the National Safety Council and the Liberty Mutual Institute for Safety. The
Symposium is being convened to serve as a national forum for the presentation
of the latest findings and methods in occupational injury research.
Abstract Guidelines
Authors
are invited to submit abstracts of 300 words or less that describe original
research related to traumatic occupational injury. Abstracts can cross all
industry sectors and cover areas that may include, but are not limited to,
surveillance of fatal and non-fatal injuries, intervention evaluation,
prevention through design, engineering and technology, research to practice,
workplace violence, motor vehicle safety, fall prevention research, machines
and industrial vehicle safety, high risk and vulnerable workers, emergency
response, and the economics of injury prevention. Please format your abstract
with the following headers: Introduction, Methods, Results, and Conclusions.

deadline for receipt of abstracts is March 3, 2008 and notices of acceptance
