Summary:  

EMC Isilon OneFS is affected by a privilege escalation vulnerability that may potentially be exploited by attackers to compromise the affected system. 

Details:  

EMC Isilon OneFS is affected by a privilege escalation vulnerability that allows administrative users to gain shell access, and execute commands as root.


Resolution 

The following versions of EMC Isilon OneFS resolve this vulnerability:
?	EMC Isilon OneFS 7.2.1.2
?	EMC Isilon OneFS 7.1.1.9
In addition, patches are available for the following versions of OneFS:
Version	Patch
OneFS 7.2.1.1	Patch-170434  
OneFS 7.1.1.0 - 7.1.1.8	Patch-170435

EMC strongly recommends that all customers upgrade to a version containing the fix, or install a patch, at the earliest opportunity.
