Summary:  

Passwords that are managed by Replication Manager were recorded in application log files. 


Details: 

Encoded passwords were recorded in EMC Replication Manager log files, prior to version 5.4.4. This could be potentially exploited by malicious user to access vulnerable systems.


Resolution:   

Passwords are no longer recorded in log files. EMC strongly recommends you upgrade to EMC Replication Manager 5.4.4. To fully mitigate potential exposure, you should also delete EMC Replication Manager Server log files and reset exposed passwords. See release notes for instructions.
