This exploit is bogus. You are simply flooding the server with new tcp sessions. This is a generic attack where by you open multiple sockets spawning new smbd processes. An Admin can easily defend against this "exploit" by banning your IP or setting the "max smbd processes" option in smb.conf. Sorry, but this has nothing to do with CVE-2006-3403. cheers, jerry ===================================================================== Samba ------- http://www.samba.org Centeris ----------- http://www.centeris.com "What man is a man who does not make the world better?" --Balian -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.2 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with SUSE - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFEwR5NIR7qMdg1EfYRAvS9AJ9nTlK/o/MeGyqTqS6ZlkzYW3dL+wCeKCK7 C/nc0Cv02iEa4aj32mgVer4= =gV5r -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
