This map is useful in general to tie data associated with a open file (not fd) from eBPF programs, such that data is released when the file goes away (e.g. checkpoint/restore usecase). Another usecase is implementing Capsicum [0] style capability sandbox in userspace using eBPF LSM, enforcing rights at the file level using this mechanism.
