Cahuilla Tewanet Overlook Offers Cultural Connection

Cahuilla Tewanet Overlook is a roadside stop and destination for travelers to learn about the native people where what is now known as California’s Coachella Valley. 21 new interpretive panels are now available for viewing to promote a better understanding how the natural resources, preserved in the Santa Rosa and San Jacinto Mountains National Monument, continue to be a living landscape for the indigenous people and by Cahuilla People today. Managed for cultural and biological preservation, the San Bernardino National Forest and BLM integrate the values of local tribes which live adjacent to the Monument in this project by involving tribal members in the development of content and photography. WILDLIFE QUESTION OF THE WEEK ANSWER

Which of the following is NOT a real owl name?
e) Peeptoe

"We have at least 19 species of superb owls that touch down in North America. We’ve selected 11 of them that would make an awesome team. There are many attributes that make owls fascinating and unique, and also potentially good at football, so let’s take a look at a few. No matter who you’re hooting for, you win if you know about these owls." (USFWS on BuzzFeed) http://www.elabs10.com/ct.html?ufl=0&rtr=on&s=x8pbwi,2qpx8,3xn3,3qp7,8dy1,1bct,ijo3
