Linux and NPUs

Hi, as you know, one of the components of some new processors from Intel 
and AMD is the NPU, neural processing unit, which is meant to help with 
AI applications. Do you think Linux applications can benefit from an NPU 
in the future? I'm about to buy a new laptop, that's why I wanted to 
know this.
