Hi,
First, bring up orca settings and switch to the voice tab and at the
speech sync combox switchh to espeak-ng.
Second, under the about me page you will want to make sure that orca is
set to start at login. If you have yorur keyboard shortcut set you can
press ault+supper+S once to disable orca then reenable it. If you do
not have your shortcut set go to your menu and leftarrow to system,
arrow down to hardware, select keyboard short cuts, and press enter.
You will be in a table of short cuts whare you can select what short
cuts are assigned. orca is not set by default. Find screenreader in
the list and press enter then hold down ault supper S then press left
arrow to save it. While in here, you can also set short cuts for other
things like starting a terminal for example.
HTH.

Now that i have Fedora installed i have a couple of questions.
when i turn on computer it does read at the login screen, however when
i am logged in it is not turning on automatically. I have to do alt
F2 and then type in orca everytime i log in.
i went through the settings however i am overlooking something.
when it reads say for example the icons on the desktop like the
trash icon, it reads the word trash in a normal voice but it says the
word icon in a very high pitch voice.
how can i change that high pitch is annoying.

Not that I can remember. If Alt + Windows + S or Alt + Windows + O
doesn't
work, hit Alt + F2, type orca, and press Enter.

Has anyone used the Fedora-MATE_Compiz-Live-x86_64
with Orca that Didier just sent me links to?
also how accessible is the Fedora workstation 38?
I am thinking that it uses the Gnome desktop.
I am not that familiar with how to get around in gnome since i
have not
used gnome desktop since Vinux.
