I thought about that, which is why I changed it to specify, and chose a
card from the list that I knew worked. Slint also gives me no speech,
(I just wanted to try), but Accessible coconut does.

Just pulled down the latest Jenux to give it a try, but for some reason I
cannot get any speech out of it. I hear the beeps when the VM boots up, I

ocr with nvda and see self-test requested, please wait, and after a while

menu comes up. I can also see that through ocr, but I get no speech when
inside the vm. I've checked to make sure the sound cards are correct,
