Thanks, but youtube viewer seems too complicated.

The instructions says I need a Google ID and a secret key.

So I  looked at pipe-wire, because it claimed not to require a google ID or key.

But its not in the Linux Mint repository.

and I get an error when trying to add it.


I'm about to give up.

Hi Rob: I would certainly suggest youtube-viewer from Trizen. You have a choice of playing or downloading videos from a results list. You can launch youtube-viewer -u=username like pbsnewshour you can also create a favorites list-and-more easily track channels you go often.
