Hi Ibrahim,

in Mate I use geany, included in Slint and fully accessible.

It has a lot of features but you can us it as simple text editor. You can get rid of many areas you won't need in the window for basic editing: in the menu
go to view and un-check the show ... you do not need.

There is also pluma, more basic but good enough for simple text editing, also
accessible

Cheers,
Didier

Hi Friends,

Since you have been lately discussing configurations and editing them, changing them, or adding scripts, What is the most accessible and easiest editor to use in Slint for editing configurations? My understanding is that Vi, Nano, and Pico all come preinstalled. Are there other text editors preinstalled? or, Do you recommend one that I can install if the abovementioned ones are not recommended?

Cheers,

Ibrahim
