There is a shut down option on the bottom of the alt+F1 menu.
Or use the hotkey
ctrl+alt+delete
You will have a chance to choose shut down restart or suspend or do nothing and the system will shut down after a count down.
Press the windows key 
Type terminal and press enter
I’m not on my Linux at the moment, but I believe terminal is  also on the accessories menu.
