Re: Flatpak on Slint

Hi everyone,

I find myself with an interesting problem.

When I open Cawbird, (a flatpak) from the Mate desktop, it works just fine. When I try the same from Fluxbox, the system just sits there and there is nothing I can do but power it down, or reboot from a tty.

Also, I installed Skype, (also a flatpak) and did add --force-renderer-accessibility flag in the Mate Main-Menu application. I can run the app in Fluxbox, but hell if I can figure how to add the --force-renderer-accessibility flag to it.

I am also trying to bind Skype to a keyboard shortcut. I understand how the .fluxbox/keys file work, but hell if I can make skype launch with the flag.

Warm regards,

Hi Brandt,

I never used flatpak or twitter, however...

maybe a post installation configuration is needed, as indicated in:
https://slackbuilds.org/slackbuilds/14.2/desktop/flatpak/README

If this doesn't help, please post the exact steps you took to install flatpak
then cawbird and start cawbird.

Then I'll try to reproduces later today.

Cheers,

Didier

Hi all,

I installed flatpak on my Slint installation, for the simple reason, there are no up to date Twitter clients that I can find.

I looked at the Slackbuilds, but nothing. Cawbird, my favorite Linux client, for now, is available as a flatpak, but when I try and run it, I get a broken Pipe error. Can anyone help with this issue?
