Hi Al,
quick answer: after each upgrade.
This is: thunderbird -P --allow-downgrade (mind the capital P)

Didier

Hi, Didier.
Quick question: since I installed a version of Thunderbird according to
the instructions you linked to last week, do I still need to use "-p
allow-downgrade" to bring it up after a new install? (I hope I wrote
that right, as I did it from memory.)
Thanks!
Al

Discard the comment about Speech Dispatcher, a fairly recent
one is already in Slint.

Hi all,
I just checked the version of Thunderbird in slint, and I saw it is
about 10 versions out of date. Is there a way to get a newer version
of the software? I know, I can probably get it from github, but I
must admit, it is not my favorite way of installing software.
