You are welcome, glad if when I can be of some help.
Correction of my previous post: the command should be:
thunderbird -P --allow-downgrade
Please note that there are two "-" before "allow", but only one between
"allow" and "downgrade"

Hi,
Thunderbird creates a new folder but you can still use another one.
Just start it like this:
thunderbird -P --allow--downgrade
and select the profile you want.
Before doing that, put the profiles you want in ~/.thunderbird
For instance my profiles are in:
/home/didier/.thunderbird
Cheers,
Didier

Okay, Thunderbird absolutelly ignores my profile and creates a new
one, so I think something changed in profiles.ini or installs.ini.
When I transfer my profile from Win to Win, it works, but from Win to
Linux not, so I will create all my setup again, it will be easyer for
me.

Hello,
well, I have quite bad experiences doing this anywhere at any time,
independently on platform or TB version, so I personally prefer to set
up things from scratch as most of the configuration is done on the
server anyway.
But you can try it out if you want. Just let TB create a profile folder
and replace the content of the folder with your own, that should
work if
your previous version of TB was upgraded to version 78 with the
profile.
Best regards

possible 3 4 years ago without any issues, but from some new
Thunderbird
version, something must be changet to get transfered folder working as
expected. Can you help please? When I transfer my folder to
.Thunderbird, app ignores all existing profiles and creates another

asks me to login to my mail accounts.
Thanks,
Pavel
