Re: How to navigate - how to flat review

Hello there,

When in a terminal, what I personally do to navigate output line by output line is orca plus u and o to go to the previous and next line respectively, orca plus j and l to navigate by word on the same line, and orca plus k to spell the word flat review is currently focused on.

In addition, I bound orca plus a to copy flat review content to clipboard, and orca controll a to append flat review content to clipboard.

Best regards.
Francisco.

I can’t seem to get it to work as I am wanting when reading the output from terminal. If I am wanting to read the very last thing that is output and then go up by line from there, is this considered going to the current line or going to the previous?
Example. Say I run, “apt install upgrade”, what would make orca read the last line asking, ”are you sure you want to install? Y/n”. Then read up and down the lines before this to read the packages and other output.

Hello there,

I believe

https://help.gnome.org/users/orca/stable/commands_flat_review.html.en

should give you all the info you need.

For further help and commands, read

https://help.gnome.org/users/orca/stable

that's Orca's user guide, which also can be accessed by doing orca-+h, f1.

Hope this helps.

Best regards.

Hi,

1. Is there a command to have orca repeat the last line that it said allowed?
2. How can I easily navigate the output from terminal with orca?

“
3. Similar to above, but say that you areSimilar to above, but say that you are navigating just somewhere in settings for example. Is it possible to navigate more granular and go through a line or paragraph by each word or line instead of just doing shift tab to go back and tab to go forward again to read current line?
