Hello, The menuconfig target can exist for any software and the output of: grep menuconfig Makefile will tell you if this is the case. It is available for the kernel and busybox, that's all I know. I am not sure for Arch, but for most distribution the installation using a boot sector (aka DOS or Legacy mode) is proposed if either the firmware is not UEFI able or is set to boot only or priority in Legacy mode.
