I'll add that in console mode there is cdparanoia.

FWIW both asunder and cdparanoia are shipped in Slint.

A assume that they should be easy to install in other distributions.

I just found another command line tool: abcde.

To install it on Slint type as root:
slapt-get -i cd-discid
slapt-get -i abcde

abcde has a man page.
