You can convert from html using pandoc.
There is a way to create a styles template, then editing it to your taste
in ms-word then convert using those styles to docx.

You might want to try pandoc. You can convert a variety of formats to
markdown and then from markdown to that same collection of formats, which
include docx.
I am not sure how precise the resulting formatting is, relative to the
original. You might want to do a couple of tests and show them to a sighted
person.

Every so often I have to submit a document in Word format.
Is there a linux command line tool that can take my HTML or text
document and convert it to a doc file?
Sort of the reverse of antiword?
Thanks.
