Magnetic cmc was the brand of dvd I bought. I can burn smaller images but when an image gets close to the size limit of the dvd I get all kinds of errors and it makes no difference if I used an image that was downloaded by rsync or bittorrent either. The drive is a Lite On iHAS124W to be completely accurate. I used lftp for torrent downloads since deluge-console is quite involved to set up. I'm running command line so the deluge-web ajax interface won't work well with lynx.

What brand of blank DVDs did you buy?  I've had very good luck with
