Hi Didier,

-speed=2 did the trick. Slower burn with no errors!

Okay, the speed growisofs tried to use originally was 16.4 and it ended up using an average of 10.4 so I'll try -speed=2 and see if those errors go away. Only reason I'm using growisofs is because cdrecord returns a warning to the effect of DMA test skipped and that didn't happen with growisofs. One of these days I'll find the optimum burning speed for this drive.

 Hi,

Le 04/02/2018 ? 18:40, Linux for blind general discussion a ?crit?:
I burnt a dvd with growisofs and got async and print req errors.? No
errors are documented along with descriptions in the growisofs man page
so I'm wondering if the dvd I used to do the burn is defective.

Or maybe you could try at a lower speed. Something like this:

 growisofs -speed=2 -dvd-compat -Z /dev/sr0=your_iso_image.iso

 Greetings,

 Didier Spaier
