oh yeah. One of my room mates here was forced into an upgrade earlier this year. He had no end of problems and finally, I ended up helping him to reformat the drive, place his old account data back on there and effectively roll back to windows 7. Like I said, you might need some visual assistance to determine what may have been modified.
