Re: Screen reader research project.

I just took the survey. I had some trouble with it, but I think I got the right items in the right fields. I then did follow the Contact link and write a message urging the inclusion of Linux and Orca in future surveys. (I also noted that I didn't see Voiceover mentioned, either, and I know a fair number of blind folks who use it for most if not all of what they do on the computer.) Although I have no reason to think I've made the relevant points as well as others who've gone ahead of me, I hope that mine can at least be one more vote for greater inclusion. I'll see if anybody writes back.

Hi folks,
I am trying again  in case my first post was considered to be spam...the word  survey in the subject line.
Please take this annual screen reader survey.

In fact if you are involved in development of Linux screen reader efforts, take the survey,  please, and contact the researchers. There is not  a single reference to Linux in the entire thing. Additionally,  while other appears as a choice, there is no text field to provide your alternative in context. We discussed  how well known Linux access is in general before.  because this particular survey is well respected and  widely distributed, this is a fine   place to begin  making sure more than windows and the mac define accessibility.
