The module is on my machine. I did this command which I found on the web: find /lib/modules/`uname -r` | grep snd It gave a list of 257 modules including /lib/modules/4.4.0-36-generic/kernel/sound/pci/cs46xx/snd-cs46xx.ko Allow me to repeat that lspci shows my card but aplay -l says no soundcards. This seems crucial to me, but I'm not sure why. Alsa is just not seeing the card for some reason.
