Considering that the list archives can be viewed by anyone at https://www.redhat.com/archives/blinux-list/ and be downloaded as gzipped plain text files that include the e-mail address from which each message was sent, I think it's fair to say there's next to nothing any list moderators could do to address spam, and unless an alternative list either lacks public archives or has archives that strip e-mail addresses from the from fields, it will be just as vulnerable to spambots. -- Sincerely, Jeffery Wright President Emeritus, Nu Nu Chapter, Phi Theta Kappa.
