Hi,As far as I know, OSS is a legacy thing. You're probably out of luck finding drivers for USB headsets, not to mention finding an OSS implementation for modern kernels. If I'm not misstaken, OSS nowadays is more of an emulation/compatibility layer on top of ALSA.
Maybe you need to specify for the application which ALSA device to use, or change the default sound device. It was a long time since I muddled with ALSA, som I have no specifics a thte moment. Then again, maybe you already did try those suggestions.

Hi. I've tried a very long time to get alsa use my usb headset. Do you Think that I can do this if i remove alsa and install open sound system? This is hard. it was easier Before. just use alsaconf, and then I could use what I wanted. I got two cards. intel and creative at that time. /Kristoffer -- Kristoffer Gustafsson Salängsgatan 7a tel:033-12 60 93 mobil: 0730-500934 _______________________________________________ Blinux-list mailing list Blinux-list@xxxxxxxxxx https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/blinux-list
