Re: Braille display and serial console

Based on Samuel's advice, I gave up on this idea. What I wanted to do is have syslinux enable the serial console so speech users would hear the boot prompt. Not having a Braille display but knowing that devices don't always react well to random text sent to them, I thought I should ask before causing damage to someone's serial device. I trust and value Samuel's judgment. If he says it's not a good idea, I won't take a chance, so the serial console is no longer enabled.

Hi!
Hmm, i don’t think this will work actually but i am no expert.
From what i understand you will send the boot message to the display without a braille driver?
I have a serial port display but not a computer with a serial port so i can’t try this either sadly.
