This is nonfree firmware or at least some of it is. Debian installer told me I need rt2870.bin b43/ucode5.fw then there was a space and b43 and another space open/ucode5.fw. I think I can search with apt-file onc I get it downloaded.

Yes, but in most cases, the kernel loads the right firmware module automatically, so it doesn't really matter what the card is. The exception is if the firmware is non-free, but since it's showing up in dmesg, that probably isn't an issue.
