Is there a Linux driver for the Focus 40 Braille display?

Greetings.

I'm borrowing a Focus 40. I called Freedom Scientific with a couple of questions. One of whether this Braille display can work with Linux. The guy said not unless there's a Linux driver, and he doesn't know of one. Does anybody on this list know of one or more such drivers, and whether any that might exist works well enough to be worth trying?

Also, Focus 40 aside, what other Braille displays presently work with Linux? I doubt we can afford much at this point, but it would be good to know in case I do get a decent job or get other help. (I know of the gismo based on the Rasbury pie, but as far as I know it's not yet on the market.)

Thanks.

Al
