Not sure about question one, but edit /etc/apt/sources.list and comment out the deb lines refering to the cd.
Then do apt-get update.
I based the advice on debian in general, maybe you did that and it did not work. I have not used that version specifically.

Problems:

msmtp version 4.1.32 will not send mail. Version 4.1.26 on an older
system works.

apt-get install keeps asking for cdroms. How do I tell it to use the
correct mirrors online?
