Re: linuxquestions.org unusable

linuxquestions.org is making improvements. That continue button got
replaced by a hard link according to the webmaster. The test account
the webmaster used had opened threads before originally but when he
created a new account and tried to open a first thread using lynx he was
able to confirm the difficulties I had had. The username and password
fields are strange on linuxquestions.org but at least lynx can get close
enough to them to enter something. Both leave a null character in their
beginnings after username and password have been filled in and when that
happens login fails. The password field shows underline characters as
you'd expect when it's blank. The username field is one space after the
: character in username: until you hit control-u in lynx and then the
edit field with underscore characters appears. Next time I try logging
into linuxquestions.org to try out that hard link on first thread, I'm
going to try a series of backspace characters in the username: field to
see if that'll get my username in correctly.
