Hi,
Here are the links I have.
I will look for the email I got from them too.
My license is for 12000 pages per year.
<LI><a href="http://download.abbyy.com/content/default.aspx";> Download abbyy</a>
<LI><a href="http://www.abbyy.com/sdk/?param=28804";>ABBYY FineReader Engine 6.0 for LINUX</a>
<LI><a href="http://www.abbyy.com/sdk/?param=28834";>Licensing finereader linux</a>
<LI><a href="http://groups.google.com/group/abbyy-ocr-for-linux/browse_thread/thread/996a73cf63e33243";>non root users got : "Error: Error while loading ABBYY FineReader Engine" - ABBYY OCR for Linux | Google Groups</a>
<LI><a href="http://www.abbyy.com/ocr_sdk_linux/?FullSite=1";>OCR SDK for Linux - ABBYY FineReader Engine 9.0 for Linux</a>

The actual command that is run for the OCR is
abbyyocr9

You need the engine which might be the sdk, I am not sure.
It does contain a command with a lot of options to do the OCR, but there is no front-end.
Hope this helps.
Regards, Willem

Well, last week, during an avid discussion of OCR solutions, an Abby OCR was mentioned. Well, somehow I have a version 9 but it wants a registration. I wrote to abby usa they claim their only Linux are development, no stand-alone versions for Linux. I really would love to try this scanning solution. I also have a pdf of a manual of version 10. Thanks in advance if some1 can please clarify whats actually available?
Hart
