When booting from the talkingarch CD, the following modules load automatically (as reported by lsmod | grep snd).
snd_hda_codec_idt 55648 1 snd_hda_codec_hdmi 24487 1 snd_hda_intel 26180 1 snd_hda_codec 98033 3 snd_hda_codec_hdmi,snd_hda_codec_idt,snd_hda_intel snd_hwdep 6300 1 snd_hda_codec snd_pcm 75167 3 snd_hda_codec_hdmi,snd_hda_codec,snd_hda_intel snd_page_alloc 7217 2 snd_pcm,snd_hda_intel snd_timer 18934 1 snd_pcm snd 59989 7 snd_hwdep,snd_timer,snd_hda_codec_hdmi,snd_hda_codec_idt,snd_pcm,snd_hda_codec,snd_hda_intel soundcore 5442 1 snd When booting the CD with the command: arch64 brltty=auto,ttyUSB0,en_US modprobe.blacklist=snd_hda_codec_hdmi the hdmi module no longer shows up under lsmod, but I still don't have sound. "aplay -l" reports the same information for card 1, but there is no card 0 entry. The archwiki has tips for redefining default soundcard, but it looks like they require re-booting the kernel.
