Yes, the embedded stuf is a problem as is the lack of javascript support.
Note wb is still alpha.

You can play the multi-media stuff with lynx too, just configure it correctly.

You can for things that are linked to. For embeded stuff which is omre and more common these days, it doesn't "just work". You have to go interrogating the page source, etc.
