Hi,

The transmission program come in different versions. One is GUI, one is a daemon, and one, called transmission-cli, is a command-line client.

I know that BitTorrent had a trackerless protocol, where it could find peers dynamically even if the torrent's main tracker was not alive I think. Now with magnet links, this seems to be less of a problem.

Hi!
Haven't followed this thread much but is transmission a command line bittorrent client?

I rather prefer torrent clients where you can specify a directory to save files in.
