Here's a suggestion - type the command first, then move to the
start of the line and insert sudo.
You can use either <home> or control+A to jump to the beginning
of the line. I prefer control+A because I don't have to remove
my fingers from the home-row.
Alternatively, if you type the command without sudo and have hit
<enter> already, you can type
sudo !!
and bash will replace the pair of exclamation-points with the
last command you typed.
