Apparently, there is no Linux driver for the Magic Jack *hardware*. However, some people have managed to use the Magic Jack *service* with SIP softphone programs. Here are links: http://www.bauer-power.net/2010/05/how-to-hack-your-magicjack-to-make_27.html http://www.digitaloffensive.com/2010/03/hacking-the-magic-jack-in-2010-for-use-on-trixbox-or-any-other-sip-device/ Please note the distinction that I am making between hardware and service. Given the right software and a device known as an FXS, it should be possible to make calls from your analog telephone using your Linux machine and the Magic Jack service. At this point, my knowledge of VOIP is quite scanty, so I don't have all of the details. Someone who knows more than I do about VOIP can probably do a better job of describing the necessary hardware and software components. -- Chris
